The application of different electronic devices, including micrometers, accelerometers, laser sensors, pressure and temperature sensors, positioned inside the mould strategic points and appropriately connected to a software, allows to monitor the various work phases, the process parameters and the correct running of the moulds themselves.
The information collected in the reports, such as the monitoring of temperature and pressure in the cavity, the control of alignment between the fixed and the mobile part, the automatic strokes counting, the cycle time check, the control of both speed and closing pressure of the mould, and so on, are conveyed in real time to a PLC, so they are immediately available and usable thanks to an intuitive and flexible graphic interface.
This allows the timely intervention on any malfunctions and in some cases anticipates problems which may arise during the injection process and to plan the mould maintenance predictively.
The identification of specific key parameters, measured and processed through mathematical models, makes it possible to manage the production process in an analytical way, and to plan the mould maintenance predictively.
