Gefit and the school
Gefit, with its Automation and Molds and Assembly divisions, is present in the daily lives of all of us: today there are no cars in circulation that do not have at least one component that has not been assembled by our lines, in addition to a pharmaceutical, cosmetic or food or beverage product that does not have a closure or capsule manufactured or assembled by our plant.
In this constant connection with reality, Gefit has always aimed to be close not only to its customers around the world, but also to support its territory and support the professional growth of high school and technical institute students. From this perspective, the company offers them the opportunity to come into contact with the world of work, helping them to orient themselves on their training path.
Riccardo Zecchi, general director of the Automation Division, describes the relationship between the company and the world of school: “In this comparison and dialogue in which we believe, the company indicates what the needs of a constantly evolving context are; Just think that today we are experiencing what is called the “fourth industrial revolution.” The experience with the “Volta” institute goes in this direction, through continuous exchange with teachers. We are very pleased with the inclusion of students from previous years, who have quickly demonstrated that they are independent in the field. Also this year, despite the period of extreme uncertainty, we have added seven recent graduates to our staff.” The children found different professional positions, from design to mechanical assembly, as 3D designers and programmers of software, PLCs and robots.
“The Group’s philosophy has always been to look at the long term and also this year we have decided to invest in the most important resource for the future: young people.”
