Gefit continues to expand its range of products for the pharmaceutical and medical sectors

Since its foundation in 1967, GEFIT has continued to invest to expand its technical skills and create increasingly innovative projects, consolidating its position in the international market and positioning itself as a point of reference in the automation industry, the supply of molds for thermoplastics and assembly machines, with cutting-edge design and production, equipped with the most modern hardware and software systems.

In addition to the two Italian sites in Alessandria (Headquarters & Automation) and Fubine Monferrato (Molds & Assembly), the Gefit Group can count on four factories located in strategic areas: USA, China, India and Hungary, as well as two sales & service in Moscow and Shanghai, to which is added the newly established – and seventh production unit of the Group – GEFIT Mexico Engineering, based in Monterrey, thus reaching 400 employees worldwide.

The Molds & Assembly Division is aimed at the food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and medical sectors, the only player at an international level that combines the production of molds for thermoplastics with the creation of assembly cells with high production rates and extreme precision, transforming in many cases from a simple machinery supplier, a true customer partner.

In the last two years, many have increased investments in the pharmaceutical and medical sector, so the Gefit offer has also expanded, developing and enriching its product range, both in the design and construction of multi-cavity molds for the production of test tubes, disposable vials and various laboratory items, and of assembly plants with all the requirements for working in controlled medical environments or in clean rooms, made in compliance with the stringent GMP standards suitable for achieving high production rates and equipped with devices “energy saving”.

In particular, the new generation injection molds have been engineered to significantly reduce cycle time and to be highly productive.
Gefit has also carried out studies aimed at creating molds capable of producing articles with thin walls, with the advantage of significant savings in terms of the quantity of plastic material used, as well as being more easily disposable.

Among the systems designed and built in this second quarter of 2022 there are, for example, the two molds with 64 and 32 cavities for the production of 200 μL and 1000 μL PP pipettes for laboratory analyses, with cycle times of 6 and 1000 μL respectively. from 7.5 seconds.
